Born somewhere between a blown-out garage amp and a half-broken cassette deck, Static Choir is what happens when raw arena thunder collides with late-night, tape-warped intimacy.

Fronted by Dave Grohl and Mk.gee, the project began as an experiment: one chasing the primal, unfiltered pulse of rock; the other dissolving genre boundaries with fractured R&B textures and woozy, digital haze. The result is neither a supergroup nor a side project — it’s a voltage shift.

Grohl brings the seismic backbone: drums that hit like concrete slabs, hooks that feel carved from stadium rafters, and a voice that still sounds like it’s pushing against the edge of the speakers. Mk.gee answers with elastic guitar tones, pitch-bent melodies, and production that feels like it’s melting in real time — intimate, unstable, magnetic.
